Prior to joining The Lawyers of Brown & Roberto, Timothy Roberto (Tim) practiced in a law firm in Nashville that specialized in complex litigation, where he gained experience in employment discrimination, personal injury, will contest and breach of contract cases. Tim previously served as a law clerk in the highest court of this State – the Tennessee Supreme Court. In this position, he assisted the Justices of the Court with complex legal research in the drafting of Court opinions. Before entering the legal profession, Tim served for four years as a policy advisor to Governor Phil Bredesen.
Tim actively improves his craft through work with the Tennessee Trial Lawyers Association. He is trained as a Keenan Trial Institute Member. Tim has taken numerous cases to trial and successfully argued in front of the Tennessee Supreme Court. In one Tennessee Supreme Court case, Tim helped establish that it is the marital spouse that has the first right to bring a wrongful death lawsuit over other family members.
